Route 66 Race Day!!!!!!!

Well it's here, and it's 6:00 AM and I believe I'm ready. We are going down stairs at the hotel to grab a bit of breakfast at 6:30 then Bonnie is driving me to the start line. The race starts at 8:00 AM. We are planning on trying to get me to the start line about 45 minutes before the start.

Bonnie is running the quarter marathon (6.55 miles) and they start at 9:00 AM. Keep her in your thoughts and prayers this morning. We've also got a number of other friends that are running the half marathon that starts at the same times as Bonnie's race (Bill, Lissa, Cindy, Julia, Karan, Cara, and perhaps others).

Running the full marathon with me are Casie (she finished the Chicago Marathon earlier this fall), and Joanne (Joanne is our club marathon maniac and has run a number of marathons this year).

The jitters come and go, but I'm ready. Today as always I just want to finish the race without injury and secondary to that I would like to finish under 5:30:00.
